The details, in plain terms

These terms apply to your purchase and use of a song from Heart Note ("we," "us," "our"). By placing an order, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them clear and human.

Every song is custom-made for you

Each Heart Note is created uniquely from the details you provide, for you and your occasion. Because of that, a song can't be resold or reused, and once your order is placed we begin producing it right away.

Orders and payment

• Prices are shown in US dollars and charged at checkout. Payments are securely processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
• Optional add-ons (such as choosing a voice, or additional songs in a wedding package) are shown as separate line items before you pay.

Delivery

Most songs are delivered within about 24 hours of your order, by email and on a private page where you can play and download it. If you're working toward a specific date, contact us and we'll do our best to help.

Refunds and cancellations

Because each song is custom-made and delivered as a digital download, all sales are final and payments are non-refundable once production has begun (which happens shortly after you order). If you need to cancel and reach us before your song has been produced, contact us right away and we'll do what we can.

This policy is common for personalized, made-to-order digital products, and it lets us keep our prices affordable.

Revisions

Every order includes one free revision. If a name is wrong, a detail is off, or a line simply does not sound like the person it is about, reply to your delivery email and tell us what to change. We will rework the song and send it back at no cost.

Further revisions beyond the first are quoted individually, and we will always tell you the cost before doing any work. Sharing as much detail as you can in your original request is still the surest way to get a song that feels right straight away.

Our happiness promise

We genuinely want you to love your song. We do our best to make every customer happy, and if something isn't right, we'll work with you to find a solution we both feel good about. This promise is offered at our discretion and does not guarantee a refund.

Using your song

Your finished song is yours to download, keep, play, and share with family and friends for personal, non-commercial use. If you'd like to use a song commercially (for example, in a business, advertisement, or for public performance for profit), please contact us first.

The details you share

By submitting names, stories, and other details, you confirm you have the right to share them with us for the purpose of creating your song. Please keep requests lawful and respectful. We reserve the right to decline or refund a request that is hateful, harassing, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate.

Limitation of liability

Heart Note is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or incidental damages.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here, with its "last updated" date, is the one that applies to your order.
